I spent formative years in the Hawaiian Islands. The lush, wild places are embued with deeply saturated colors, intense fragrances, sounds, and wildlife…the combination delivers a richly sensual experience.

 

Painting Hawaii allows me to revel in my passion for the beauty of land and sky with its abundance of contrasts. My focus is the way light describes what it touches and then infuses what is lit or shadowed with sensual joy.
